Vivenciando a disciplina de libras em tempos remotos

This research reports our experience in teaching the Libras discipline through the remote mode. We know that Libras is a visual-sign language, therefore, excellent visibility and understanding of the signs presented to students is necessary. The objective of this research was to describe and analyze the teaching and learning process of academics during the Libras course. We use participant research at work. Several students said they had already had contact with deaf people, but they did not know how to communicate. About Libras, the group claimed to have only one notion, they thought that Libras was just a gesture and few people knew the meaning. All proposed content was executed and had the full participation of everyone. The students were able to understand that Libras is in fact a language recognized by linguistics, they had difficulty in reproducing the signs remotely, however, it was possible to see the satisfaction in learning Libras to practice beyond the screen.
