Sergipano glossary of Libras: recording regional signs

This work aims to show the results of a lexicographic research carried out from a project developed within the Institutional Program of Scientific Initiation Scholarships of the Federal University of Sergipe. The research consisted in the identification and collection of regional signs of Libras from native deaf informants in the State of Sergipe, recording these signals in videographic and visographic forms by the SignWriting sign language writing system. The need for such registration was based on the importance of documentary geographical representation of these signs of Libras, created and used by the speakers of this language in Sergipe, which are not yet worded, thus partially filling this gap in their documentation. We use as theoretical basis, mainly, the studies on lexicography as Martins (2012), Gonçalves (2012), Faulstich (1980), Biderman (1984). The results of this research culminated in the production of the bilingual Dictionary Portuguese Language / Libras entitled "Sergipe Dictionary of Libras", containing a corpus of two hundred signs, divided into eight semantic categories.
