Os desafios da inclusão dos deficientes auditivos no ensino de biologia na escola de ensino médio José de Anchieta em Pinheiro-Ma

ABSTRACT
The learning of the deaf is something abstract in society, its natural language in Brazil is the LIBRAS and this makes difficult the process of building knowledge, for the listeners Portuguese is a natural language. The main barrier is in the understanding of the Portuguese language, which consequently also causes learning difficulties in other areas of knowledge. It is important to highlight that the communication with the listeners is compromised, due to them, not always know how to use LIBRAS. In view of this perspective, the main objective of this study is to analyze the conditions of Biology teaching for hearing impaired students at the Jose de Anchieta School in Pinheiro-MA, as well as the methodology applied for the transmission of the contents. This monographic study was developed through the bibliographical review, the field exploration with a quantitative character. The review evidenced the view of some authors about the inclusion of the deaf and the legislation of the teaching of biology. In addition, the field study was developed through the application of questionnaires with Biology teachers who work directly with hearing impaired students, teacher's interpreters and deaf students included in the educational establishment. The research made it possible to conclude that the teaching of biology for the hearing impaired at Jose de Anchieta School faces a number of challenges, both on the pedagogical side and on the structure and adequacy of the space, since the school does not have all the inclusive resources to carry out an inclusive education for the hearing impaired.
