O conhecimento dos profissionais da atenção primária de saúde sobre libras
Resumo
Objective: Identifying the professional’s knowledge of primary health care about the Brazilian Sign Language (LIBRAS) to provide quality looking after the deaf community. Method: a descriptive and exploratory study with quali-quantitative nature, carried out in a city in the north of Paraná. The research was carried out with the application of a semi-structured form with guiding questions of sociodemographic, laborite, scholarity, interpersonal, resolutive, clinical and evaluative characterization. Results: regarding the level of knowledge in LIBRAS, most professionals (58%) reported having a level of knowledge of zero (on a scale from 0 to 4), level 1 (19%), level 2 of knowledge (18% ), level 3 (3.5%), and level 4 (1.8%). The vast majority (57%) of respondents reported the need for an interpreter during care for the deaf, in addition to the fact that the minority (11%) had already taken a Libras course during their lifetime.
