Resumo
From a brief retrospective on special education in Brazil, we intend to demonstrate that the consolidation of the presuppositions about inclusive education is strongly correlated with attitude changes by society, school and teachers, compared to individual differences. In other words, it is not enough that individuals with special educational needs (SEN) have guaranteed the right to access and stay in regular school. We realize that there is much to be done in behalf of inclusion and consequently of education with quality for all. Accordingly, we present a way of approaching physics contents in perspective of including a deaf or low hearing student, with an emphasis on production and use of instructional videos with subtitles in Brazilian Sign Language (LIBRAS). In order to illustrate the proposed methodological approach, we analyze the implementation of a learning activity on electrical conductors and insulators which, among other results, made possible the publication of a teaching video with subtitles in LIBRAS about the physical contents mentioned above. Finally, we make some comments that lead to the confirmation of the viability of an education that ensures the inclusion of deaf students in regular school classes.
