ENSAIO: A IMPORTÂNCIA DO ENSINO DE LIBRAS NA FORMAÇÃO DE DOCENTES DA EPT: DESAFIOS E POSSIBILIDADES

In modern society, according to Marques, it is extremely necessary for the teacher to be a researcher by nature, thus, paying attention to training consistent with the world of work and the basic principles of Professional and Technological Education (EPT).Inclusive education is one of the pillars of modern society, and the teaching of Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) plays a fundamental role in this context.The present work was carried out based on a systematic literature review, using a qualitative approach.Inclusive education for deaf people and people with hearing impairment requires analysis and reflection regarding the legal basis and theoretical framework of the educational context and its history.It should be noted that deaf culture is made up of signifiers and meanings, and some of the aspects contained in its narratives are: pedagogical; policies; linguistic; identity; and artistic.Once Libras gains recognition in schools, it should not be considered a privilege, but rather understood as fundamental for deaf students and an additional element for hearing students during their general formation as cultural beings.
