Avaliação de Libras: uma revisão sistemática

When Brazilian Sign Language (Libras), which is accessible to the deaf, is not made available early on, there are serious impacts on identity formation and academic performance. Schools become vital in teaching the language but lack tools to monitor students’ progress. This study aimed to characterize productions on Libras assessment through a systematic review, using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) model. The databases searched were the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), the Periodicals Portal of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes), and SciVerse Scopus from 2006 to 2023. The results highlight the scarcity of articles in Portuguese on sign language assessment among the deaf, underscoring the need for more research in this area.
