O papel e atuação do tradutor e intérprete educacional de libras no processo de ensino-aprendizagem na educação básica

LIBRAS - Brazilian Sign Language was officially recognized as a language in Brazil very recently, in 2002, by Law 10.436 and only had its regulation with Decree 5626/05 and, later, Law 12.319/10. As a result, discussions about the attributions given to professional interpreters who work in the educational field gained greater fervor. The objective of this work is to bring reflections on the role and performance of the professional Sign Language Translator and Interpreter - TILS in the teaching-learning process of the deaf student in this context of triple involvement (teacher-interpreter-student) in the inclusive school. The research in this study is characterized as applied in nature, with a qualitative approach and data collection made through the google forms platform, in a semi-structured questionnaire applied to educational interpreters in the municipalities of Macapá and Santana, belonging to the State Education Network of Amapá. As it is a research with human beings, the project was submitted and approved by the Research Ethics Committee. Thus, it was observed that the TILS that work directly with deaf students in the classroom have specific functions, however, these roles are still not very clear to the participants in the process, showing the relevance of this work for the discussion of this topic. so important for the education of the deaf in Brazil. From these points, this study culminated in the development of an informative application as an Educational Product entitled "TILS". This aimed to identify the attributions, skills and scope of practices of the TILS professional who works in the classroom, distinguishing their role in the school space.
