Materiais didáticos para a aquisição de língua de sinais por estudantes surdos: proposta para uma aprendizagem significativa

Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) has become the focus of numerous research studies since its legal recognition.Despite the growth in publications on teaching materials for Libras instruction, few have been developed in recent years to cater to early elementary school grades.This research study is set within this context.The technical procedure adopted is descriptive-analytical.We propose a methodological description of the teaching material developed by deaf and hearing researchers, as well as a brief analysis of the teaching material entitled "Libras: Brazilian Sign Language: Studies and Teaching" (2020) from the Supergando Libras+ collection.Our objective is to describe the organization of the teaching material and analyze its relevance for teaching and learning Libras as an official language in early elementary school grades.We are grounded in Federal Law No. 10,436/2002, which recognizes Libras as a language and regulates it as a discipline and also provides for the training of Libras professionals.Additionally, we will present some collected texts that address the topic, aiming to enrich the discussion on this subject.Finally, we present a contribution with materials that we have developed artisanally for this educational level in response to the demands of the City Curriculum.In summary, we present a detailed description and brief analysis of teaching materials, hoping not only to collaborate with the preservation, generation, and dissemination of knowledge about Libras but also, above all, to contribute to the teaching-learning process for both hearing and deaf individuals.
