This article presents an ethnographic-qualitative research The study wasbased on educational, social and pedagogical aspects of inclusive education discussed by Data were generated by means of six observed classes and a reading test applied to a deaf and a listener students. The results of the analysis pointed out to several factors that impact on the English language teaching-learning for deaf people, such as: a) the English teacher's lack of understanding to deal with different realities out of the idealized one for listener students; and b) the misused of the English didactic material in the observed classes. It is believed that this reported look, together with other research in this area, may contribute to the improvement of the English language teaching-learning process for deaf students.
