DO PROCESSO DE INCLUSÃO AO DIREITO À COMUNICAÇÃO: A EXPERIÊNCIA DO CORAL DE LIBRAS "INCLUIR"
Resumo
This article results from the extension project “Incluir LIBRAS Choir” carried out by the Inclusive Education Coordination School of the Federal University of Pará. This is a qualitative research. The actions aimed at promoting articulation between the tripod teaching, research and extension based on the understanding that schools linked to universities must be spaces of excellence. Therefore, the knowledge developed in these spaces must be shared with the purpose of contributing to the transformation of the social reality. The objectives were: To provide the students in the 6th year of elementary school with access to the Brazilian Sign Language; To create an environment that prioritizes respect for diversity, helping to educate citizens who are more respectful developing a spirit of collectivity. The results showed that inclusive processes still face barriers to full realization in the society. However, believing that inclusion requires a school in transformation motivated the institution to adjust to this new organization of the school structure.
