ALUNOS SURDOS NO ENSINO SUPERIOR:

This work aims to analyze teaching and learning conditions offered to deaf students by Higher Education institutions in our country. We comment on gaps and hindrances in their daily study routines, and describe resources, measures and procedures used in the Higher Education Department (DESU) of the National Institute for the Education of the Deaf (INES) with the intent to reduce obstacles in those students’ academic experience. Among the pedagogic tools here presented, we highlight the Manuário Acadêmico e Escolar, an online bilingual terminological dictionary (Libras/Portuguese), under construction, with specific signs related to the areas of ​​Pedagogy and Teaching. We hope to dialogue with other researchers and authors, thus contributing to new reflections on the current scenario of deaf education in Brazil.
