ACESSIBILIDADE NO PROCESSO DE ELABORAÇÃO DE MATERIAIS EDUCACIONAIS DIGITAIS PARA EDUCAÇÃO À DISTÂNCIA

Accessibility criteria are fundamental to guaranteeing access for people with disabilities to distance education training environments. The use of these criteria is important from the very beginning of the construction of educational materials. The aim of this work is to analyze how teacher-authors at the Open University of the Unified Health System at the Federal University of Maranhão (UNA-SUS/UFMA) include accessibility criteria in their processes for producing educational materials for Distance Education (DE). To this end, 46 teachers answered an online semi-structured questionnaire made available via Google Forms. The majority (69.10%) were PhDs and female (82.60%). Among the participants, 65.20% claimed to have superficial knowledge and 19.60% said they were completely unaware of accessibility criteria for producing accessible educational resources. In addition, 71.71% reported not knowing the guidelines for producing this type of material. The survey highlights the importance of promoting spaces for continuing and specialized training for teachers, with a focus on digital accessibility.
